When you set out to take Vienna, take Vienna.

Vienna, Austria's capital, combines imperial heritage, music, and lovable charm. A city that inspires with both old and new, and always has a cozy spot at a coffee shop or wine tavern available.

I'd suggest to start early your way there so that you have the whole day ahead of you and of course you can't forget to buy a Viennese coffee along the way.

  1. One of the first things you should see is the above shown landmark in the center of Vienna. The Hofburg is the residence and workplace of the President of Austria and formely was an imperial palace, and today it is one of the world's largest palace complexes and it also houses the Sisi Museum.

  2. Another palace that is of impeccable beauty, is the Belvedere Palace which was built for Prince Eugene of Savoy as summer residense and now houses the world's biggest collection of Klimt's paintings, with the most famous being "The Kiss".

  3. Speaking of palaces, you can't not see the fairytale-like Schönbrunn Palace. It is one of the country's most prominent architectural, cultural, and historic landmarks. Apart from the beautiful gardens it also has the world's oldest zoo.

4. Vienna has also a lot of breathtaking cathedrals as well as astonishing buildings, such as Brunnen vor der Karlskirche and the cathedral of Stephansdom that you can admire throughout the whole journey.

5. To relax and enjoy the nature -yes even though you're in the capital- you can walk through the many gardens with lakes and greenery such as Rathauspark and Stadtpark.

The possibilities and attractions in Vienna are endless so keep your eyes open!
